Who is responsible

When you get in touch
When you email Dotte, your name, email address and the information you share are used to answer your enquiry, prepare a proposal or discuss a project. Business correspondence is handled through Infomaniak. The email link opens your mail application; this website does not collect contact-form submissions. Your enquiry does not add you to a mailing list.
If you book a call, you leave this website and use Cal.com. Your contact details and booking information are used to arrange the meeting. Cal.com handles booking data under its privacy policy.
If you choose the WhatsApp link, you leave this website and use WhatsApp under its own privacy terms. Information you send there is used to respond to your request.
Hosting and security
Vercel hosts the website and processes the technical information needed to serve it and maintain security, such as your IP address, requested URL, request time and browser information.
Website analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics provides statistics about page visits, referring websites, devices and page performance to help improve the site. It does not use tracking cookies, browser storage or persistent visitor identifiers. Cloudflare states that incoming IP addresses are discarded at its nearest data centre rather than retained in its analytics databases or logs.
Cloudflare currently makes analytics available for six months. You can block its analytics script using a browser content blocker; the website remains usable without it.
Your theme preference
If you switch between the light and dark themes, the website saves your choice in your browser’s local storage under dotte-theme. It stays there until you change it or clear the site’s browser data. This preference is used for display, not analytics or advertising. No advertising pixels or session-recording tools are installed.
Retention and service providers
Enquiry correspondence is retained while needed to answer your request, manage a project or meet applicable legal obligations. There is no automatic expiry for messages in the business mailbox; you can request deletion, subject to any information that must be retained. Hosting and email-delivery records follow the relevant provider’s retention arrangements.
Infomaniak hosts email in Switzerland. Vercel processes data internationally, including in the United States. Cloudflare processes analytics through its international infrastructure. The provider information below explains their processing locations and transfer safeguards.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information Dotte holds about you, request a correction or deletion, or object to its use. Other rights, including restriction and portability, may apply depending on the applicable law. Contact samuel@dotte.org; requests are handled under Swiss data protection law and other applicable rules. You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner or your relevant supervisory authority.
